The Last 2 Months!

I can't believe how the last two months have flown by! The Joseph 5 have been busy as always--Kevin finishing up classes and his degree, a two-week road trip to visit the grandparents in Florida for Thanksgiving (which of course had to include a quick trip to Disney World!), pre-school Christmas performances by Karis and Eli, and of course Christmas celebrations with family in Dallas. We leave for Portland, OR next week to go to a month of cross-cultural training in preparation for our move to East Asia. We're excited about all we have to learn--and a month of cold, wet weather! :)

Vision Dinner

Last night we had our first official "vision dinner" where we shared with a group of folks our vision for the work we'll be doing in East Asia. We had a fantastic time getting to enjoy food and fellowship over dinner, and were so encouraged at how many people are interested in what is going on in Asia! Our dear friends Kelsey and Chandler put the whole thing together, and we have been so humbled and honored at the time and thought that went into such a special evening to bless our family so richly!

Owens Country Farm with G-ma and G-pa

We recently had the blessing of Kevin's parents being in town (aka G-ma and G-pa). The kids had a blast going to Owens Country Farm where they got to do everything from a hay ride, to feeding some very enthusiastic goats, to picking out their own pumpkin. Fun fall memory makers!

Welcome to our family's blog!

We've finally joined the world of the technologically advanced!  Our blog has arrived!  We're hoping that this site will be beneficial for anyone out there who may want to know more about our family's preparation as we get ready to head to East Asia.  We'll be adding pictures and periodic updates as we progress in our training, and hopefully keep everyone who is interested updated on how much better we've gotten as we attempt to master the art of chop stick usage!

Blessings to all of our readers!
